Morrissey: ‘Unfortunately, I Am Not Homosexual’

Singer sets the particular record straight after releasing memoir, declares himself ‘humasexual’

Morrissey felt compelled to create the record straight on his sexuality this weekend after opening up regarding his first relationship with a guy in his recently-published memoir. “Unfortunately, We are not homosexual. In technical fact, We are humasexual, ” he wrote from Sweden on Saturday in a take note posted on the fansite True To You. “I am attracted to humans , ” he went on to explain. “But, of course… not many. ”

In his hotly anticipated memoir, Autobiography, which was released by Penguin Classics earlier recently, the former Smiths frontman disclosed which he was in his mid-thirties before this individual entered his first serious connection. In a 1986 interview with Rolling Stone, Morrissey explained that the gender ambiguity in the subjects of his song lyrics for the Smiths had been intentional. “It was very important to try and write for everybody, ” this individual said. “I find when people plus things are entirely revealed within an obvious way, it freezes the particular imagination of the observer.
